How it works
Most people spend more time chasing quotes than the job takes. This replaces that.
Describe what you need and when. Add photos so workers can quote accurately.
Nearby vetted workers send a price and a time. You see their rating and job history.
Pick your worker. Your card is authorized but not charged, and you can message in-app.
Confirm the work is done and payment is released. Then you both leave a rating.

Workers pass an identity and eligibility review before they can take jobs. Vetting status is visible on every profile.
Both sides verify by SMS before posting or offering, so accounts trace back to a real number.
Neither side sees the other's rating until both are submitted, so nobody rates defensively.
Coordinate without sharing your phone number or address until you have accepted an offer.
Funds are authorized up front and only released after you confirm completion. Refunds are handled in-app.
Price, messages, and status are logged, so a dispute is resolved from a record rather than memory.
For workers
No bidding wars to the bottom and no paying for leads that go nowhere. You see the job, you quote it, you get paid when it is done.
Questions
Your card is authorized when you accept a worker's offer, which places a hold but does not take the money. The charge happens only when the job is marked complete. If the job is cancelled beforehand, the hold is released.
Do not confirm completion. Raise it in the app and we will review the job record and messages. Refunds, full or partial, are issued through the platform.
Independent local contractors, not ToolBelt employees. Each passes identity and eligibility vetting and verifies a phone number before taking work.
Those trades require licensing, and we do not list them until license verification is built. Listing an unlicensed worker for regulated work would put customers at risk.
Payouts go to the worker's bank account after the job is confirmed complete, minus the 15% service fee. Payments and payouts are processed by Stripe.
